Overview:
Large University Building
The Problem
A large schedule of works was the initial brief for the construction of a new state of the art drama teaching facility. Within a live University grounds.
The Solution
The stand out scaffold was the atrium which required designing to accommodate roof construction whilst the base had to span an acoustic floor which was unable to support any kind of weight or scaffolding materials whatsoever.
Achievements
The support scaffold was designed to accommodate the movement of MEWP’S across theatre floor with a beamed access scaffold for atrium glazed roof spanning 24m across top floor to allow works at ground level to progress. The boarded platform was overlaid with ply boarded and felted to form a temporary roof.
The beamed access was completed within the 4 weeks. And dismantled in 5 days.

“We found working with 3D scaffolding Ltd was a simple process; they understood our requirements from the outset and delivered quality scaffolds time and time again…. It is not coincidence that they are a “Category A” supplier.”
